Teeth Straightening Solutions

Straighten Your Teeth, Correct Your Bite

Braces straighten your teeth and correct bite issues, giving you a smile that looks great and stays healthy. Every treatment is tailored to your teeth, your goals and your comfort.

As a specialist clinic, we plan and monitor your treatment carefully at every stage. We are also happy to answer any questions about clear aligners such as Invisalign.

What We Offer

Types of Braces We Offer

Invisalign® (Certified Provider)

A series of clear, removable aligners that gradually move your teeth into position. Virtually invisible and comfortable to wear, Invisalign allows you to eat, brush, and floss with ease while achieving a straighter smile.

Conventional & self ligating metal braces

The most economical option and the easiest to maintain. Reliable and effective for almost every case.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces work in the same way as traditional metal braces but use tooth-coloured or clear brackets, making them less noticeable when you smile. They are a popular choice for teenagers and adults who would like a more discreet orthodontic treatment while still achieving excellent results. Ceramic braces are comfortable, effective, and suitable for treating a wide range of orthodontic problems.

Children Orthodontics

A healthy smile starts early. Children’s braces can help correct crowded, protruding, or misaligned teeth while guiding jaw growth during development. Early intervention allows us to address problems at the right time and support your child’s long-term dental health and confidence.

Expanders

Palatal expanders are orthodontic appliances used to gently widen the upper jaw in growing children. They help create space for crowded teeth, improve the bite, and correct crossbites by guiding jaw development at the optimal stage of growth.

Orthodontic Retainers

Congratulations on completing your orthodontic treatment! Retainers are the final step in protecting your new smile. Designed to hold your teeth in their corrected positions, retainers help prevent unwanted tooth movement and keep your treatment results stable long-term.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of braces and aligners do you offer?

We offer a full range of orthodontic options: Invisalign® clear aligners, conventional and self-ligating metal braces, ceramic (tooth-coloured) braces, and Damon braces. We also provide children’s orthodontic treatment, palatal expanders, and retainers. During your consultation, our specialist orthodontist will recommend the most suitable option for your teeth, bite, and lifestyle.

Both work the same way — brackets are bonded to your teeth and connected by a wire to gradually move them into position. Metal braces are the most economical and easiest to maintain. Ceramic braces use tooth-coloured or clear brackets, making them far less noticeable. They tend to be slightly more expensive and require more care, as they can chip or stain if not looked after. Note: ceramic braces are different from Invisalign, which is a removable clear aligner system.

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, removable clear aligners that gradually shift your teeth into the desired position. They are virtually invisible, comfortable to wear, and can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing. As a certified Invisalign provider, we are happy to assess your suitability at a consultation. Not everyone is suited to aligners — certain bite issues or more complex cases may be better treated with fixed braces.

There is no single right age — it depends on your child’s dental development. We can monitor teeth from around age 7–8, when the first adult teeth begin to come through. Early assessment allows us to identify problems before they worsen and plan treatment at the most effective stage of growth. In some cases, early intervention can simplify or even reduce the scope of treatment needed later on.

A palatal expander is an orthodontic appliance used to gently widen the upper jaw in growing children. It helps create space for crowded teeth, correct crossbites, and guide jaw development at the right stage of growth. Whether one is needed will depend on your child’s individual assessment — your orthodontist will advise if an expander is part of the recommended treatment plan.

Your orthodontist will always aim to avoid extractions where possible. In some cases, removing a tooth may be necessary to correct significant crowding or to improve the bite. An alternative is interproximal reduction (IPR) — a gentle procedure that slightly reduces the width of select teeth to create space without extraction. The best approach varies for each patient and will be discussed in full at your consultation.

Having braces fitted is not painful. You may experience some soreness or pressure for a few days after each adjustment appointment as your teeth begin to move — this is completely normal and usually settles quickly. Over-the-counter pain relief can help if needed. If any bracket or wire is causing irritation, contact us and we will sort it out for you.

You will need to brush more carefully than before. We recommend brushing at least twice a day for two minutes using fluoride toothpaste — ideally after every meal. Use an interdental brush to clean around the brackets and wires, and rinse daily with an alcohol-free fluoride mouthwash. Good oral hygiene throughout treatment is essential to protect your teeth and gums.

Yes. Hard foods (such as nuts and hard sweets), sticky foods (such as chewing gum and toffee), and anything you need to bite into directly (such as whole apples or corn on the cob) should be avoided to prevent damage to your brackets or wires. Cut food into smaller pieces where needed. We will provide a full list of what to avoid when your braces are fitted.

Retainers are worn after braces are removed to hold your teeth in their new positions and prevent them from shifting back. They are a crucial final step in protecting your results long-term. Initially you may be asked to wear your retainer full-time, gradually reducing to nights only. In general, the longer you wear your retainer, the more stable your result will remain.
